Education: A.B. in Psychology at Stanford University; Ph.D. in Psychology at University of California, San Diego.
Research interests: Cognitive psychology; Behavioristic psychology; Human motivation and learning; Measurement of generalization of learning; Uses of technology and web-based activities to promote understanding: use of in-class interactive systems and interactive assignments to assess learning, use of simulations for teaching and measurement of understanding.
